Accessibility at work / Southern Tire Mart

Built mobile-first, for every customer.

Most of Southern Tire Mart’s customers arrive on a phone, so accessibility shaped the design from the first wireframe rather than being fixed at the end. The custom tire lookup and location tools were built to be usable by everyone, on any device.

What we work on

Compliance work. With the fixes behind it.

Our approach combines automated tools, manual testing and ecommerce development expertise for results that are accurate, efficient and durable. One program, from the first audit to the ongoing checks.

Discovery & audit

We begin with a comprehensive accessibility audit across your product pages, collection pages, navigation and core pages, so the work starts from what is actually in the way.

What you get An audit of the pages customers use most, with issues ranked by impact.

Prioritized roadmap

A clear action plan that details what to fix, why it matters and how it aligns with your platform’s capabilities, so your team and ours agree on the order before anything changes.

What you get A sequenced plan your developers, or ours, can work from.

Remediation & optimization

From alt text and color contrast to semantic HTML and skip links, our team implements every fix with UX and performance in mind, on the platform you already run.

What you get Fixes made on your site and checked on the affected pages.

Monitoring & documentation

Continuous scanning flags new issues as your catalogue and content change. Accessibility statements, WCAG conformance reports and training support are kept current for internal or legal use.

What you get Ongoing scans, a conformance record and the documents your team is asked for.

We work natively in Shopify, BigCommerce and headless frameworks, so accessibility is built into your stack rather than layered over it.

Why it matters

Accessibility is a customer experience issue.

ADA compliance isn’t just a legal issue. With more shoppers using assistive technologies and more brands facing litigation, accessibility is now essential for ecommerce success.

Many accessibility fixes also improve mobile performance, SEO and overall usability. Clean semantic markup is what screen readers and AI crawlers both read, so an accessible site stays legible as discovery shifts.

How the work runs

What that looks like on your site.

01 / Audit

Find what gets in the way.

Automated scans catch the obvious issues at scale. Our team audits the rest by hand, because context is what tooling misses.

02 / Fix

Make every change with UX in mind.

Fixes are made on your platform, from contrast and alt text to structure and keyboard access, and checked on the pages they touch.

03 / Keep

Stay compliant as the site grows.

Continuous scanning surfaces new issues as pages change, and the documentation stays current so you are never reconstructing it under pressure.

People + Fleet

Scanning at scale. Judgment by people.

Fleet runs accessibility scans across your pages continuously, so new issues surface as your catalogue and content change rather than at the next audit.

Our people review what the scans find, audit what tooling cannot judge and decide what to fix first. We agree on the scope and approval rules with you, so our team and the agents know where they can act.

That gives us more capacity to find, fix and follow through as your website grows.

A few practical questions

What working together
looks like.

Which standard do you work to?

WCAG is the reference most teams, platforms and courts point to. We audit against it, report conformance in its terms and agree the target level with you at the start, so everyone knows what done means.

Is an accessibility overlay or widget enough?

We fix the underlying pages rather than layering a script over them. Semantic HTML, contrast, alt text, focus order and keyboard access are changes to the site itself, which is what assistive technology actually reads.

Which platforms do you work on?

We’ve worked in most platforms and specialize in Shopify, BigCommerce, SCAYLE, WordPress, and headless frameworks. Fixes are made in your theme and templates, not in a separate layer, so they hold as the site is updated.

Will this reduce our legal risk?

Accessibility work removes the barriers that complaints and lawsuits are usually about, and the documentation we provide records what was done and when. We are not a law firm and do not give legal advice; we are glad to work alongside your counsel.

Can you work with our existing development team?

Yes. We define responsibilities and access together. LimeLight can implement fixes within the agreed scope or hand your team a prioritized roadmap where they own the platform or release process.

What do you need to get started?

Your platform, the pages that matter most to your business and appropriate access to the site. We agree on scope, responsibilities and approval rules before implementation. An initial conversation does not require any of that in advance.
